[Bioperl-guts-l] BioPerl in a C++ program

Hi,
I am trying to use Bioperl for retrieving sequence 
information. I have the following question:
Is it possible to call the BioPerl APIS through a
C or C++ program by embedding perl function calls?
I tried doing that but I am getting a lot of linking 
errors. 
If anyone has done something of this sort please let me
know.
