Nifty perl programs for biology

You could use a demo I created for the OiB which does a "virtual"
Southern analysis of the Yeast genome:
This is a fairly rudimentary demo. It does not simulate a true Southern,
and has no fancy graphical output, but it's kind of neat. It is
officially "100% Perl" and uses my extended Bio:: modules heirarchy
which includes Bio::PreSeq.pm.
