Emacs template

Jump to: navigation, search

The Emacs template is provided in the BioPerl distribution as bioperl.lisp file (see we can use Lisp!). You can copy the contents to your .emacs file and whenever you open a perl module (.pm or .pl file, or those with a -*-Perl-*- header for Emacs to see) you will have a menu as seen in this picture. The different menu items will ask you for input such as the method name or when creating a new module, the author name and email so skeleton module structure will be created for you. The field func item creates a standard getter/setter method for you, while the interface template should be used to create basic interface module.
