Dr Pablo Marin-Garcia is a molecular geneticist specialized in human variation and genetic factors in cardiovascular disease. His hobbies are the study of the spiders, folding origami animals and computing.
His first contact with Perl and Bioperl was in 2001 while working in quality control in microarray experiments in the Human Molecular Genetic Center (Medical College of Wisconsin).
He has been using Perl and Bioperl ever since at EBI with Heikki Lehvaslaiho and now in the Variation Informatics group at Sanger Center
